DPC is providing two opportunities for Short Term Missions in the Summer of 2024. Our trips are designed to focus on three key areas: 

• ENCOURAGE local believers and ministry leaders in the places where we serve.

• GROW our own members in their understanding of poverty and of the ways God is at work in the world.

• SERVE alongside other Christians who are pursuing Gospel development in their communities.

While we do have an “ideal applicant” for each of these trips, we encourage all who are interested to apply. 

BUKEKA, UGANDA

June 21-30, 2024: Medical trip to Bukeka, Uganda.

This trip is intended to further our relationship with Global Hands of Hope, the organization we worked with in 2023. Our main focuses will be cultural engagement and a 4-day medical clinic.

Ideal Applicant: Medical professional

DORADO, PUERTO RICO

July 6-12, 2024: Family-oriented trip to Dorado, Puerto Rico

This trip is for anyone in our church family who is entering 7th grade and up. We will be working alongside Hunger Corp. and our main focuses will be cultural engagement, poverty relief, and some construction.

Ideal Applicant: 12 years old and up (must be able to work outside for several days)

Our hope is that this application process helps those who are interested to discern whether a trip like this is feasible for their current life circumstances.  The process also helps us determine who the team will be for this trip.  We ask that you pray before submitting the application and join us in prayer for God’s mercy and grace as we build the teams and plan these trips.
