Sundays at Downtown Presbyterian

We know that it can take time to feel comfortable in a church’s building and worship service. We’ve included information below to hopefully help you know what to expect when you walk through our doors!

Worship

“Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psalm 100:3-4

Our Sunday morning worship services are the primary gatherings of DPC. Regular worship is vital to the life of a follower of Christ, and is also a good introduction for someone exploring the claims of Christianity.

We submit ourselves to God, who is both transcendent (holy and majestic) and immanent (near and present). Our services are rooted in biblical and historic patterns and practices, while being welcoming to the newcomer. We hope worship will help Christians grow in their faith, as well as help skeptics gain a better understanding of the gospel, or good news, of Jesus Christ.
