August Sunday School Series

Taught by Brian Habig

Starting August 10th, for three consecutive weeks, our pastor, Brian Habig, will teach a special Sunday School series in between services.

In The Chronicles of Narnia, the great lion Aslan gives a child this insight about being human: “You come of the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve. And that is both honor enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth.”

Human beings. We are images of God, and we are dust. We are souls, and we are bodies. We have eternity in our hearts, and we have limits. We worship our Creator, and we worship everything but our Creator.

“Anthropology” isn’t just a college class. It’s a crucial part of Christian theology. Please join us between services in the sanctuary as we take three weeks to delve into the Scriptures about being human.

Nursery and Childcare Details

Both nursery and a special Children’s Sunday School will be offered for our DPC kids from newborn to rising 5th grade in between services during this special August Sunday School series. Registration is required to help us make sure we have enough volunteers. Please register your child(ren) for each week you plan to attend.

Youth

Our middle school and high school students have the choice to either attend the Sunday school series in the sanctuary or we would love help in our nursery, or with our elementary age Sunday School kids. Please email Betsy Norwood if you are willing to volunteer for one or all three weeks (August 10, 17 & 24). We are so grateful for your help!
